Welcome to Minecraft Carnival!

Join us on CMU's official Minecraft server to walk around a virtual campus, get a group together and compete in the Spring Carnival Build Competition, or just attend the ribbon cutting and check out midway!

Note: The Java edition of Minecraft and an @andrew.cmu.edu or @alumni.cmu.edu account are required to login to the CMU Minecraft server. If you need an @alumni.cmu.edu email, please follow these instructions.

Minecraft for Beginners Training Webinar

This hands-on webinar will get you up and running with Minecraft on CMU's official Minecraft server, whether you want to explore the Spring Carnival exhibitions or compete in the Build Competition.

Hosted by Jared Cohen (E 2023), the lead architect of CMU's Minecraft Campus and a student in Materials Science and Biomedical Engineering. Register to receive instructions to install and access Minecraft.

Spring Carnival Build Competition

Build Week: April 14, 3 p.m. through April 18, noon ET
Register Your Team Now

This year's theme is Virtual Carnival, and all CMU students, alumni, staff and faculty are welcome to build. Booth orgs (and your alumni!) are especially welcome.

Teams of one or more will be allocated plots within Minecraft after they have registered.

Midway Ribbon Cutting and Zoom Tour

When: April 18, 1 p.m. ET
Join the stream

Join us for a virtual ribbon cutting to Midway Opening after the building stops. Then stick around as we take a walk through the competition entries.

All are welcome, and this is a great way for anyone without Minecraft to participate.
